Video: A man’s struggle with his 20 kg arm
text_fieldsThere are some who are born to make difference. They lead their life ignoring their disabilities. They make it as their strength. This 25-year-old man from Allahabad is suffering from a rare medical condition with an arm weighing 20 kg.
Bablu Pashi is suffering from gigantism , a disease that causes excessive growth of body tissue. He, in a video by Barcoft TV, shares his experiences of living with the condition.
He left his home town as he had to face severe abuse there. He is now living in Mumbai. He says: "If my hand was okay, I would have stayed at home. I wouldn't have come here. I would have my own family and maybe children as well."
"When I go to the shops, they beat me and throw me out and say 'go away'," says Bablu.
Dr. RL Gangrade who had a consultation with Bablu says it is a genetic disorder and needs plastic surgery to set it right.
“The surgery would cost more than Rs 13 lakh which Bablu definitely cannot afford,” says Gangrade.
“By any chance if I will get a treatment, I will go back to my home. I will earn a good living and eat. I will build a home with my own efforts and I’ll live happily,” says Bablu.
