The event, held at The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi, brought together workers from a range of roles, including cleaners, technicians, drivers and maintenance staff, whose work supports essential services across the emirate.
Mohsen Ali Al Nassi, Assistant Under-Secretary for the Inspection and Compliance Sector at the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, said the recognition reflects the country’s appreciation for workers who contribute to national development.
He said workers remain central to the UAE’s progress across sectors, adding that initiatives such as the awards help reinforce their place in society and encourage greater motivation.
Al Nassi said the ministry continues to focus on improving working conditions, protecting rights and ensuring a stable environment that supports long-term development.
The initiative was organised by Lifecare Hospital in Mussafah in co-operation with the ministry, Abu Dhabi Police, Abu Dhabi Municipality and the Workers’ Accommodation Authority of AD Ports Group.
The ceremony was attended by Sheikh Abdulaziz Rashid Al Mualla, Director of the Mussafah Sub Municipality Centre; Lieutenant Colonel Obaid Saqr Al Amri of Abu Dhabi Police; and Captain Saif Al Mheiri, Chief Executive Officer for Sustainability and Risk Management at AD Ports Group, along with officials from Burjeel Holdings.
The workers honoured represented a cross-section of jobs often carried out behind the scenes, highlighting their role in keeping the city running day to day.
