Indian snooker ace Pankaj Advani secured the prestigious Songhe Singapore Open title with a commanding 5-1 victory over local favorite Jaden Ong on Sunday.

Advani's path to the final saw him edge past Thailand’s former IBSF world snooker champion Dechawat Poomjaeng in a thrilling 4-3 quarterfinal at the Lagoon Billiards Room.

Despite the seemingly one-sided scoreline in the final, the first two frames were fiercely contested, with Advani making stunning comebacks to clear the table and take a 2-0 lead. Advani's heavy scoring in the third frame further solidified his advantage, but Ong responded by winning a frame to keep his hopes alive.

However, a brilliant snooker by Advani on the final brown in the fourth frame allowed him to regain control, and a flawless clearance from brown to black put him just one frame away from the title. In the decisive final frame, Advani delivered a masterful 74-6 performance to seal his victory and lift the trophy.

Next, Advani will defend his world billiards title in Doha in November, continuing his pursuit of excellence on the global stage.
