Riyadh: Vivo has launched its new V40 smartphone series, redefining mobile portrait photography. The V40 features a professional-grade portrait system developed in collaboration with ZEISS. The device also boasts a 5500 mAh battery, making it the slimmest vivo phone with this capacity.

“The V40 is designed to elevate user experience through exceptional mobile portrait photography, enduring battery life and elegant design. Partnering with ZEISS, we've developed a professional-grade portrait system that inspires creativity and self-expression,” said Simon Hu, General Manager Vivo KSA.

The V40 is designed for high-quality portrait photography. It comes with a 50 MP ZEISS OIS Main Camera equipped with Samsung’s ISOCELL GNJ sensor. The f/1.88 aperture improves light intake, ensuring clear images, even in low light.

The V40 also includes a 50 MP Ultra Wide-Angle Camera with autofocus, ideal for landscapes and group portraits. The 50 MP Group Selfie Camera's front camera features smart autofocus and AI Facial Contouring Technology for more natural-looking selfies.

In addition, the ZEISS Multifocal Portrait feature offers 24mm, 35mm and 50mm focal lengths for professional-grade photography. Users can also shoot 4K videos with ZEISS Cinematic Bokeh, creating a film-like effect with smooth focus transitions.

The V40 also introduces AI Aura Light Portrait, which adds studio-quality lighting to photos. It also includes AI 3D Studio Lighting for enhanced low-light photography. The phone’s Aura Light system now supports indoor backlit scenarios and adds depth to portraits taken at night.

The phone is powered by a 5500 mAh battery, offering up to 63 hours of music playback. It supports 80W FlashCharge for quick recharging. Despite the large battery, the phone remains slim and lightweight.

The device runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon® 7 Gen 3 Mobile Platform and supports up to 12GB of extended RAM. The V40’s 1.5K Ultra Clear Sunlight AMOLED Display offers a 120 Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 4500 nits for easy outdoor viewing.

Sleek Design and New Colors

Vivo has crafted the V40 with a slim 7.58 mm profile and durable materials. The camera module features a "Gemini Ring" design, adding a touch of luxury. The phone comes in four colors: Nebula Purple, Stellar Silver and Meteor Blue, with the latter available exclusively online.

Pre-orders for the V40 are open until September 19 and feature a chance to get free earbuds, a smartwatch and a six-month screen replacement guarantee. Buyers will receive a warranty covering both the GCC and India markets.
