Kuwait’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday condemned the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque by settlers under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, describing the move as a violation of international laws and norms, particularly those concerning the protection of religious sites.

In a statement, the ministry said such actions breach legal and moral standards governing the preservation of sanctities and warned against the continuation of what it called illegal practices.

It said the incidents risk provoking the sentiments of Muslims worldwide and could affect efforts aimed at maintaining security and stability in the region.

The ministry called on the international community, particularly the UN Security Council, to take responsibility for halting repeated violations and ensuring accountability.

It also stressed the need to respect holy sites, provide protection for the Palestinian people and safeguard their religious sanctities, according to the statement.
