Saudi Ministry moves to localise marketing, support management jobs

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has decided to localize the marketing professions and those associated with administrative support work, according to the tweet of the Saudi Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, Ahmed Suleiman Al-Rajhi, on Sunday.

"To complete the emiratization programs, we have today issued a decision to locate the marketing professions and another decision to locate the administrative support professions," Al-Rajhi stated in a tweet on his official Twitter account.

He stressed that the decision aims to provide the country's sons and daughters with adequate job opportunities for them and increase the level of their participation in the national economy.

As per the decision, the localization rate has been fixed at 30 percent for establishments with a workforce of five or more in the marketing profession.

The decision will take effect on April 1, 2022 and it is expected to create more than 12,000 job openings for male and female citizens.


Earlier in October 2020, the Ministry of Human Resources had decided to use specialized expertise houses to locate 20,000 jobs as a marketing specialist.

The ministry confirmed that the program aims to locate the marketing profession in its first phase from now until the end of the year 2021.

At the time he stated that the minimum salary is 4000 riyals and that any successful recruitment process will be calculated and aims to connect people in job seeker with appropriate job opportunities.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Human Resources Development Fund "Hadaf" and the Marketing Association, to train, qualify and employ national managers in the marketing professions in the private sector .

The Human Resource Development Fund "Hadaf" said in a statement that the memorandum aims to provide sustainable jobs, develop standard of quality and professional accreditation and raise the level of competence of the Saudis in in line with the needs of the labor market.
