PM Modi shares pics of his snorkelling adventures in Lakshadweep

The PM, known for his adventurous spirit, delved into snorkelling during his stay, expressing awe at the stunning beauty of the islands and the warm hospitality extended by the locals.
In an acknowledgement, Modi thanked the people of Lakshadweep for their gracious reception during his interactions in Agatti, Bangaram, and Kavaratti. The Prime Minister's social media posts provided a visual feast, showcasing aerial glimpses and snapshots of his early morning walks along the pristine beaches, describing those moments as pure bliss.
Reflecting on the tranquillity of Lakshadweep, Modi shared that the visit offered him an opportunity to contemplate and reaffirm his commitment to working harder for the welfare of India's 140 crore citizens. He highlighted Lakshadweep not just as a group of islands but as a timeless legacy of traditions and a testament to the resilient spirit of its people.
Modi emphasized the government's focus on uplifting lives through enhanced development in Lakshadweep. The inauguration of projects worth over Rs 1,150 crore in Agatti underscored this commitment, with a particular emphasis on futuristic infrastructure, improved healthcare, faster internet, and access to drinking water.
Among the inaugurated projects, the Kochi-Lakshadweep Islands Submarine Optical Fiber Connection aimed to address the challenge of slow internet speed in the Union Territory. The Low-Temperature Thermal Desalination plant at Kadmat, producing 1.5 lakh litres of clean drinking water daily, and the Functional Household Tap Connections in Agatti and Minicoy islands showcased the government's dedication to essential amenities.
The Prime Minister also inaugurated the first-ever battery-backed solar power project in Lakshadweep, a solar power plant in Kavaratti. Additionally, he laid the foundation stone for the renovation of the Health Care facility in Kalpeni and the construction of five model Anganwadi Centres (Nand Ghars) in Androth, Chetlat, Kadmat, Agatti, and Minicoy.
During his visit, Modi engaged with beneficiaries of various government schemes, noting the inspiring impact on health, self-reliance, women's empowerment, and improved agricultural practices. The enriching journey, as described by the Prime Minister, encapsulates not only the developmental strides but also the cultural vibrancy and spirit of Lakshadweep.
