Watch: Municipal Council employee kicks woman colleague

Raichur (Karnataka): In a shameful incident, the Sindhanur City Municipal Council employee kicked a woman colleague in Karnataka's Raichur.

The act was caught on the CCTV camera installed inside the office.

The video footage shows the employees indulging in a verbal spat and the man suddenly waking up from his seat and going to the woman employee. The woman, apparently being scared, goes towards the wall to avoid a physical attack. The man, however, is seen mercilessly kicking the woman with his right leg.

A report in TOI said the incident occurred on Saturday last week, when the woman, Nasreen, showed up late for work.

Nasreen, who works as SDA in the corporation, was observing her Ramazan fast at the time of the incident, the Times of India quoted police officials as saying.

“Nasreen was observing fast during Ramzan and is said to have turned up late to work,” a senior police official was quoted in the report. He added that the accused Sharanappa who worked as a computer operator on contractual basis, kicked Nasreen after an argument broke out about her being late.

The accused has been arrested and a case was registered against him regarding the issue.
