YouTube Shorts introduces enhanced video editor, AI stickers, and new creative tools
text_fieldsYouTube Shorts is rolling out a series of powerful updates aimed at simplifying content creation and enhancing creativity on the platform.
Creators will soon benefit from a revamped in-app video editor, AI-generated stickers, and improved features for syncing clips to music beats.
The redesigned editor will allow users to zoom, snap, rearrange, and delete clips with greater precision, making the editing process smoother and more efficient. Additionally, creators can add timed text and integrate music directly within the editor, eliminating the need for third-party apps that many currently rely on for these features.
One of the standout additions is the automatic beat-syncing tool, which enables creators to easily align their video clips with the rhythm of their chosen music track. This capability, previously only available through external apps, will soon be integrated directly into the YouTube Shorts editor.
Creators will also gain access to two new types of stickers:
- Image Stickers: Imported directly from the creator’s smartphone gallery.
- AI Stickers: Generated by typing prompts into the app, providing fresh ways to enhance Shorts content.
Furthermore, YouTube is enhancing its attribution system. When creators use templates to make new Shorts, the original creator will be automatically credited, promoting creativity while maintaining recognition for innovative templates.
The improved editor will also simplify the process of creating Shorts from templates, allowing users to effortlessly select images from their gallery and incorporate them into templates.
