"Keep shining and rising": Kohli's warm reply to Babar
text_fieldsAfter Pakistan cricket captain Babar Azam extended his support to Indian star cricketer Virat Kohli through Twitter, the latter replied with warm words, and it went viral on the social media platform, The Indian Express reported.
Babar had tweeted, "This too shall pass. Stay strong. #ViratKohli," to which Kohli had replied, "Thank you. Keep shining and rising. Wish you all the best" on Saturday.

Earlier, former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi had lauded Babar for his support tweet but added that Kohli should have responded. "Be it cricket or any other sport, it improves relations (between countries). Athletes can do a much better job at it than politicians, and a number of them are doing the same," SAMAA TV quoted Afridi.
"Babar has given across an incredible message. I don't know if there has been a response from the other side. I think Virat should have responded by now. It would be a very big thing if there is a response to Babar's tweet, but I don't think that is going to happen," Afridi added.
Meanwhile, more people rose to the front to support Kohli, who is going through a rough patch in his career at the moment, while many from the cricket world suggested he take a break from international cricket. Some even suggested dropping him from the team.
Backing Kohli, former England captain Kevin Pietersen replied to one of Kohli's posts, "You go big guy! People can only dream what you've done in cricket. And they're some of the best players that have played the game."
He also posted a photo of himself with Kohli on Instagram and captioned it, "Buddy, your career has had some of the best that have played the game only wish they could have done what you have(so far). Be proud, walk tall & enjoy life. There's way more than just the bubble of cricket out there. You'll be back, @virat.kohli."
