The newly established Mohamed bin Zayed Foundation for Humanity is set to make a profound impact on global humanitarian efforts, with the ambitious goal of reaching over 500 million people across more than 50 countries in the next five years. The foundation, which spans Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, aims to empower communities, enhance healthcare access and foster economic stability.

The initiative builds upon the extensive charitable work of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, whose vision for humanitarian development focuses on advancing human potential, supporting global health priorities and creating sustainable opportunities for vulnerable communities.

One of the foundation’s core missions is to expand and accelerate the achievements of Reaching the Last Mile, the global health philanthropy previously overseen by Sheikh Mohamed. Under the new framework, the foundation will continue efforts to eradicate polio, malaria and neglected tropical diseases, integrating these commitments into a broader humanitarian strategy.

The Mohamed bin Zayed Foundation for Humanity will operate under the Erth Zayed Philanthropies, an entity that directs the UAE leadership’s charitable efforts across various sectors. The foundation will focus on sustainable global health and inclusive development, investing in innovative solutions that uplift communities and drive economic prosperity.

During a recent meeting at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohamed reviewed the foundation’s vision and strategic goals. He reaffirmed his dedication to global humanitarian efforts, emphasizing the UAE’s role in enhancing quality of life and fostering a better world for all.

The establishment of the foundation aligns with Zayed Humanitarian Day, observed annually on the 19th of Ramadan, in honor of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan’s legacy of humanitarian work. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister, issued a decree to formalize the foundation’s creation, highlighting its role in continuing Sheikh Zayed’s commitment to global aid and philanthropy.

The foundation’s long-term mission is to drive innovation in global health, promote economic stability and empower communities through sustainable development programs. With a strategic approach to humanitarian assistance, the UAE strengthens its position as a global leader in philanthropy, ensuring meaningful and lasting impact in regions most in need.

As the Mohamed bin Zayed Foundation for Humanity begins its work, it represents a major step forward in global efforts to combat health challenges, improve living standards, and create sustainable development opportunities for millions worldwide.
