Greater Noida: In a shocking incident that has left the entire Shiv Nadar University community in grief and disbelief, a 21-year-old student named Sneha Chaurasia was fatally shot inside the campus by a fellow student, Anuj Singh, who later died by suicide. The incident has ignited anger among Sneha's family and raised questions about the university's security measures.

Sneha's father, Raj Kumar Chaurasia, expressed his deep anguish and vowed to seek justice for his daughter. He criticized the university for failing to provide adequate security, stating, "How can you let a man roam around with a gun? Where is the security? It is a university, it is supposed to protect its students." Chaurasia emphasized that his daughter had never mentioned Anuj Singh to the family and demanded an investigation into how the assailant acquired the firearm.

Chaurasia's frustration was compounded by the university's initial response to the incident. He revealed that when informed about the incident, the university authorities initially claimed it was a case of a dog bite and were uncooperative during the police investigation. These conflicting statements have raised concerns about the university's transparency and handling of the situation.

In response to the accusations, a spokesperson for Shiv Nadar University denied any wrongdoing and asserted their commitment to a thorough investigation. The police discovered a video sent by Anuj Singh to the university authorities in which he confessed to being in a past relationship with Sneha and expressed feelings of betrayal and despair. In the video, he claimed to have been diagnosed with third-stage brain cancer but had not disclosed it to his family. Anuj also mentioned seeking forgiveness from both sets of parents while expressing his intentions to punish Sneha.
