State-level tennis player shot dead by father in Gurugram

Gurugram: In a shocking incident, a state-level tennis player, Radhika Yadav, was allegedly shot dead by her father at their residence in Gurugram’s Sushant Lok on Thursday. The motive behind the brutal act is yet to be ascertained, and police have launched a detailed investigation.
According to officials, the father allegedly fired more than five bullets at Radhika, killing her on the spot. The incident took place at their home in Sushant Lok-Phase 2, Sector 57. A police team soon arrived at the scene and took the body into custody.
Inspector Vinod Kumar, Station House Officer of Sector 56 police station, confirmed the detention of the father and said the matter is under investigation. “We are questioning the family members. A probe is underway and the picture will be clear soon,” he said.
Police sources confirmed that the father has been taken into custody, and his exact motive remains unclear. The tragic killing of the young tennis player has sent shockwaves through the local community.
