Mumbai: A local court will hear next week arguments in connection with a suit seeking ban on the poster of Aamir Khan's upcoming film "PK", contending that it is "vulgar and obscene".

Hemant Patil's submissions, filed by his lawyer R N Kachave, cited several high court and Supreme Court judgements.

The poster, which created a controversy when it was released a few weeks ago, shows the actor standing in a semi-nude position on the railway tracks.

Civil judge M S Sharma posted the matter for further arguments next week.

Earlier, Khan and the film's director Rajkumar Hirani, in their reply to the suit, had said that Patil had no 'locus standi' (right to file the suit regarding a particular issue).

The poster had been duly approved by the Film Publicity Screening Committee, a government body, they said.
