None of my employees quit in five years, claims CEO of AiDigital
text_fieldsNew York: Stephen Magli, co-founder and CEO of the New York-based advertising company AiDigital, claimed that none of his employees has quit in the past five years. He revealed his secrets and spoke of his goal of building a healthy work culture.
In an article for Fast Company magazine, he wrote that attracting and keeping top talent has been a priority for him since becoming an entrepreneur. "I believe this focus has contributed more to my company's success than anything else I have done."
He added that it is important to give employees flexibility in the workplace. The CEO also believes in letting his team work independently. "When you find good people and give them the ability to prove themselves, that's when the magic happens."
The entrepreneur further said that he has learnt to be an empathetic leader during the pandemic. "The pandemic strained all of us and highlighted the challenges of managing mental health and being a working parent, in particular. The ability to step up as a company and acknowledge the difficulties we were facing, offering solutions to face them together, and being honest and transparent about adjustments along the way has set a new precedent for what employees now come to expect," he added.
As a message to other entrepreneurs, he said they should find employees who match their management style which set the organisation and workers up for a long and healthy relationship. Teamwork is encouraged and celebrated at AiDigital. Magli also believes in celebrating all wins, big or small.
Speaking about gift-giving in corporate culture, Magli believes that while a cash gift is nice, a personal touch goes a long way. "An item that speaks to a person's personality and interests can create a deeper connection. I'm personally an avid fan of watches and I have made it a tradition to gift luxury watches to star employees as the ultimate token of appreciation."
