Israeli bombing kills 19 members of Al Jazeera engineer’s family
text_fieldsGaza: In the midst of Israel’s continuing bombing in Gaza, a broadcast engineer for Al Jazeera lost 19 family members in the largest refugee camp here.
Relatives of Mohamed Abu Al-Qumsan died in the Israeli bombing on Jabalia camp include his father, brother, two sisters, and eight nephews and nieces.
In another Israeli raid days earlier, one of Al Jazeera’s correspondent lost wife, son, daughter and grandson, the outlet reported.
Al Jazeera condemned the attack calling it a massacre" by the Israeli forces.
However, Israel claimed the attack on Jabalia camp killed a top Hamas commander who included the 47 people died in the bombing.
Israeli has been getting back at Hamas since the outfit’s blitzkrieg attack on the country on October 7, killing 1,400 people.
Palestinian side said over 50 people were killed when Israeli targeted the refugee camp.
Israel claimed that when its warplane attacked a tunnel complex in the packed Jabalia camp, Hamas commander Ibrahim Biari and several others died.
However, Hamas denied Israel’s claim saying that leaders were not present at the camp.
An Israeli military spokesman said Biari was a key person in the planning and execution of the outfit’s attack on Israel.
It is reported that Hamas still holds captive at least 230 hostages, who were taken across the Gaza border from Israel.
