Palestine: The house of a Palestinian man accused of killing an Israeli last year was destroyed by Israeli forces on Saturday. The attack incited fresh clashes as Palestinians threw stones and firebombs, and the Israel army retorted with semi-automatic fire wounding two Palestinians, Agence France-Presse reported.
According to Israel forces' statement, the apartment of Omar Jaradat of the Silat Al-Harithiya village of Palestine was blasted down. The house was located near the flashpoint town of Jenin in the northern occupied West Bank.
The crisis is at more tension as Israeli forces continue the search for a pair of Palestinian accused who were allegedly involved in an axe attack that killed three Israelis on Thursday night. The alleged assault happened near Tel Aviv.
Explosives punched a hole in the pink exterior wall of Jaradat's apartment and blew out interior walls, leaving the floors strewn with grey rubble.
Jaradat- whose house got a hole punched on its walls out of explosives- along with two of his family members, is accused of killing a religious student Yehuda Dimentman, 25.
Forces have already destroyed two other homes belonging to Jaradat's family members in Silat Al-Harithiya. During that operation, clashes erupted, and Israeli troops shot dead a Palestinian teenager.
The practice of destroying houses of those who were accused by Israel of killing their people has become something regular, but many have criticized it.
Currently, 475,000 Jewish settlers live in the occupied West Bank among the 2.9 million Palestinians. Jewish settlement has been widely regarded as a violation of international law.
