Google Chrome to let Android users restore closed tabs in bulk
text_fieldsCalifornia: Google Chrome, the cross-platform web browser developed by Google, will allow Android users to restore closed tabs in bulk. When the feature gets rolled out, users can restore the recently closed tab group in one go, The Indian Express reported, citing sources code accessed by Chrome Story.
The feature is available for desktop users at the moment, who can right-click on an empty area in the tab bar and click "Reopen closed tab". Closed tabs can also be opened if the entire Chrome window is closed, and a group of tabs which were closed recently, could also be restored.
Meanwhile, Android does not offer such an option. Users need to restore tabs one by one by hitting the three dots icon on the top right of the screen and clicking 'Recent tabs', where users could choose from a list of recently closed tabs.
Chrome Story, the tech news portal, has informed us about a new experimental flag in Chrome's source code, labelled "Android Tab Restore", which according to the portal, indicates that Google has begun testing the feature on Android.
The new feature will be available in Google Chrome Canary, the developer's version, for Android soon. However, the Canary version is not recommended since it would be unstable.
