SA v IND, 3rd Test Day 2: Bumrah's five-wicket haul gives India 13-run lead over South Africa

Cape Town: Jasprit Bumrah's seventh five-wicket haul in Test cricket helped India take a slender 13-run lead over South Africa on day two of the third Test at the Newlands Cricket Ground on Wednesday.
Apart from Bumrah's 5/42, Mohammed Shami played a crucial role with his double strike in the second session to tilt momentum in India's favour as South Africa were bowled out for 210.
At one stage, it felt South Africa would take the lead as they were in a commanding position at 112/3. Rassie van der Dussen, who survived two run-out chances and an lbw appeal off Umesh Yadav, saw his charmed life at the crease ended with an outer edge while driving a full ball around off-stump from Yadav to Virat Kohli at second slip.
South Africa, who reached 176 for seven at tea, added 34 at the loss of three wickets during the final session of the day. Keegan Petersen, who scored 72 off 166 balls, was the top scorer for the home side.
Apart from Bumrah and Shami, Shardul Thakur (1/37) and Umesh Yadav (2/64) also played their part in wrapping up the South African innings. Resuming from 17/1, South Africa lost four wickets in the post-lunch session and two in the morning session.
With a lead of 13, India almost lost Mayank Agarwal in the third over of the second innings. Agarwal was rapped on pads by a nip-backer from Kagiso Rabada but got to overturn the decision as replays showed the ball missing the stumps.
Agarwal then played a gorgeous straight drive down the ground but Rabada had the last laugh as he dragged the length back and with some away movement, forced Agarwal to play at it and the outer edge went to Dean Elgar at first slip.
KL Rahul, who took two classy off-side boundaries off Duanne Olivier, was stuck at the crease and edged straight to Aiden Markram at second slip off Marco Jansen. Kohli and Pujara dug their heels in to put up an unbeaten stand of 33 to ensure India didn't lose any other wicket till stumps arrived.
Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara made it to stumps on day two as India are 57/2 in 17 overs, leading by 70 runs
