The UAE has rejected allegations about the status of its economic relationship with Iran and said all trade, commercial exchanges and financial transactions with Tehran have been halted until further notice.

Afra Al Hameli, Director of the Strategic Communications Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said the UAE remains committed to dialogue, cooperation and regional integration as a path to peace, stability and prosperity.

She said the decision comes amid regional escalations that undermine regional and international peace and security.

Al Hameli said all trade and financial dealings with Iran have been stopped until further notice.

She added that the UAE remains firmly committed to protecting the integrity of the international financial system, in line with international law and the highest global standards.
