The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) has launched the 2025 edition of the Sharjah Excellence Award, introducing a fourth-generation global assessment model based on international standards in institutional performance, innovation and sustainability.

The award is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah. It is designed to enhance the competitiveness of private sector companies in the UAE and GCC and promote the adoption of quality, leadership and innovation practices.

According to SCCI, more than 600 companies from 30 sectors, including industry, trade, education, healthcare and agriculture, have taken part in previous editions. The Chamber said the award has become a platform for strengthening corporate governance and institutional sustainability.

Registration for the 2025 edition is open until January 31, 2026. The award is open to private sector businesses, government institutions and entrepreneurs across the UAE and GCC.

There are eight award categories, including Sharjah Gulf Localisation Award, Sharjah Gulf Excellence Award, Sharjah Excellence Award, Sharjah Small & Medium Enterprises Award, Sharjah Entrepreneurs Award, Sharjah Social Responsibility Award, Sharjah Best Security Standards Award and Sharjah Entrepreneurs with Disability Award.

The program will also include workshops, orientation seminars and field visits to inform participants about award requirements and procedures.

H.E. Abdallah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of SCCI and Chairman of the Award’s Board of Trustees, said the initiative is part of the Chamber’s strategy to support a sustainable economy. He noted that the 2024 edition recorded 132 participants, an increase of 34 percent compared with 2023.
