Dubai fixes pothole within hours, Indian man calls it "unbelievable"

An Indian resident in Dubai recently went viral after sharing a video praising the city’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) for repairing a pothole within just a few hours of it being reported.
It began when Reshabh Nagpal’s friend filed a complaint about a damaged road. To their surprise, RTA officials arrived quickly and started the repair work almost immediately. Nagpal captured the entire process – from clearing and levelling the pothole to resurfacing and painting the road – all within the same day.
In the video, Nagpal expressed his amazement at the swift response and efficiency.
“And if you see, there are so many people standing on the side, watching how it has been done. Because this is unbelievable. Usually, this could take up to 1 or 2 or 3 weeks or maybe months. This is just done in a few hours. It is 4.30 right now. Road is done and operational. It has been painted as well. This is Dubai. This is why everyone loves Dubai. It is like nothing happened, but everything is done,” he said.
The video quickly gained traction online, with viewers applauding Dubai’s responsiveness and contrasting it with slower repair systems elsewhere.
One user commented, “This is so so so good, we must learn from them.”
Another added, “Things to learn from Dubai,” while a third simply wrote, “Instant service.”
The RTA actively encourages community participation in maintaining city infrastructure. Residents can report road or transport issues through several official channels, including the authority’s Mahboub WhatsApp service.
