Dubai Chambers has announced new initiatives with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) to expand economic cooperation and create fresh opportunities for both business markets. The announcement came during a meeting between Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers and Rajiv Memani, President of CII, alongside senior representatives from Indian companies.

The discussions focused on developing joint activities across priority sectors and plans to host business events in multiple Indian cities to connect companies and encourage investment. Participants also examined ways to diversify trade flows and support Indian enterprises seeking growth in regional and global markets through Dubai.

Recent figures highlight the growing momentum: in the first half of 2025, Indian companies accounted for 9,038 new memberships at the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, marking a 14.9 percent increase compared to the same period in 2024. India remained the leading source of new non-UAE members.

The initiatives build on the memorandum of understanding signed in April between Dubai Chambers and CII, which set a framework for stronger trade and investment ties. Under the agreement, Dubai Chambers provides tailored services to help Indian businesses establish and expand their operations in the emirate.

Together, these steps point to a closer economic partnership designed to accelerate growth and strengthen business-to-business collaboration between Dubai and India.
