Starting Monday, Abu Dhabi’s Mawaqif paid parking system will extend to areas off Abu Dhabi island, including Etihad Plaza and parts of Khalifa City. The new sectors affected are SW2, SE45 and SE48.

Sector SE48, located at the Etihad Airways headquarters on Al Mireef Street, will offer 694 parking spaces, with three designated for people with disabilities. Sector SE45, at Etihad Plaza between Al Mireef Street and Al Ibtisamah Street, will provide 1,283 parking spaces, including 17 for people with disabilities. Sector SW2, between Al Marmouq Street and Al Qalayid Street, bordered by Theyab Bin Eissa Street and Al Murahibeen Street, will have 523 spaces, with 17 for people with disabilities.
