In the Eastern Province, search and rescue teams successfully saved six citizens whose vessel collided with a navigation marker in the open sea.

In a separate operation, Saudi Border Guards in the Al-Raboah sector of Asir arrested seven expatriates involved in a significant drug smuggling attempt. The suspects were apprehended while attempting to smuggle 154 kilograms of qat, a plant known for its stimulant properties. Following their arrest, the individuals were processed through the legal system and handed over to relevant authorities, along with the confiscated drugs.

Security authorities have urged citizens and residents to remain alert and report any suspicious activity related to drug smuggling or trafficking. Individuals can report such activities by calling 911 in Makkah, Riyadh and the Eastern Province or 999 in other regions of the Kingdom.

Additionally, the General Directorate of Narcotics Control has provided further options for reporting. Citizens can reach out via phone at 995 or through email at [email protected] to share information regarding drug-related offenses.
