Saudi Embassy in Turkiye condemns Ankara terror attack
text_fieldsThe Saudi Embassy in Turkiye has condemned the recent terror attack on a defense company in Ankara, according to a statement released by the Saudi Press Agency on Wednesday. The embassy expressed the Kingdom’s firm rejection of terrorism and extremism in all its forms.
The Saudi government extended its deepest condolences to the families of the victims, the Turkish government and the people of Turkiye. The statement also wished those injured in the attack a swift recovery.
The attack, which occurred on Wednesday, targeted the Turkish state-run aerospace and defense company TUSAS. According to Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya, five people were killed and more than a dozen were injured in the assault. Yerlikaya also stated that two attackers, a man and a woman, were killed during the incident.
Initial investigations have pointed to the involvement of the militant Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), although the minister emphasized that the process of identifying the assailants is still ongoing.
