Qatar Moms celebrates sixth anniversary with Diwali celebration, SHAGUN 6.0
text_fieldsQAMO Qatar Moms brought together 150 women at Hilton Doha on October 31 to celebrate its sixth anniversary with a Diwali-themed evening.
The event, SHAGUN 6.0, featured cultural performances, games, raffles and giveaways. Guests followed a “Diwali Saree Glam” theme for the celebration, which focused on friendship and cultural connections among women in Qatar.
Founded by Deepa Jaiswal on July 24, 2020, QAMO began as a small circle of mothers. It has since grown to more than 6,700 members on Facebook and approximately 2,500 members on WhatsApp.
The group is an active chapter of UNIMO, or Universe of Moms, founded by Neha Kare Kanabar. The wider network connects more than 750,000 women worldwide.
Addressing the gathering, Jaiswal thanked Kanabar, the QAMO administration team, sponsors and members for their continued support and contributions.
Jaiswal and Akansha Sabharwal led the event as part of the QAMO administration team.
Over its six years, QAMO has expanded beyond social gatherings to provide a platform for mutual support, cultural connection and women’s empowerment.
The group said it would continue to strengthen friendships and foster a sense of belonging among mothers in Qatar.
