His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, representative of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, made a powerful call for the international community to uphold the principles of peace, security and international law. Speaking at the 'Summit of the Future' held at the United Nations headquarters in New York, the Crown Prince urged world leaders to reject double standards and to ensure equal treatment for all nations under international law.

During his address, the Crown Prince sharply criticised the ongoing violence in Palestine, particularly the Israeli aggression in Gaza, which has claimed the lives of over 41,000 Palestinians, primarily women and children, since October 7th.

"The ongoing genocide in Palestine... is a stark reminder of the inability of the UN Security Council to halt the aggression," he said. His remarks highlighted the frustrations of many within the international community regarding the failure of key institutions like the UN to prevent widespread violence and uphold human rights.

Citing the devastation in Gaza, the Crown Prince detailed the destruction of hospitals, schools, residential areas and refugee camps by Israeli forces. The rising death toll and widespread destruction are, according to him, glaring examples of the selective application of international law. He condemned what he described as "double standards" and warned that failing to address such injustices risks leading the world into chaos, where "jungle law" prevails.

As the death toll from the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict climbs to 41,431, with nearly 95,818 wounded, the Crown Prince’s plea reflects growing global concerns about the deteriorating situation in Gaza and the broader consequences of allowing such violence to continue unchecked. His remarks resonate strongly with calls for immediate international intervention to halt further bloodshed and restore the region's peace and stability.

The Crown Prince concluded his speech by urging nations to recommit themselves to international peace and security principles, warning that failure to do so would undermine the global order and risk further escalating conflicts worldwide.

The international community now faces renewed pressure to take decisive action and prevent further humanitarian disaster in Gaza.
