text_fieldsThiruvananthapuram: The murder of Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) state secretary KS Shan, on December 18 in Alappuzha, was out of revenge on RSS activist Nandu Krishna's murder that happened earlier this year, police said on Sunday.
Police have submitted a report in a local court in Alappuzha briefing the same. Nandu was murdered on February 24, and there is the alleged hand of SDPI activists in the deed, The Indian Express reported.
The police report said that the RSS facilitated the gang shelter after the deed. So far, police have arrested 14 people related to RSS, including a gang of five members, regarding the gruesome incident.
In the meantime, BJP in the state met Governor Arif Mohammed Khan on Sunday and informed him that the police are investigating the murder of BJP OBC Morcha state secretary Ranjith Sreenivas's with bias.
Sreenivas, incidentally, was murdered hours after Shan was hacked. BJP alleged that the police are openly discriminating against BJP-RSS workers in the state, and 22 BJP-RSS workers got killed by rivals under Prinarayi Vjijayan's administration.
The conspiracies behind those murders still lie buried, BJP's delegation alleged in the petition they submitted before the Governor.
None of those directly involved has been arrested in Ranjith's case, but police said that five SDPI activists, who helped the murderers with necessities for the deed, were arrested.
