Kerala Police arrest two Assamese workers for molesting 3-yr-old

Kochi: Kerala’s Perumbavoor Police on Saturday arrested two workers from Assam for molesting a 3-year-old girl.
According to the complaint lodged by victim’s mother, the incident took place on Friday evening while her daughter was playing near a plywood factory where her father and the two accused worked.
The woman said that her daughter told her of the incident after which she was taken for a medical examination, during which it was found that she was suffering from pain in her private parts.
The police were informed shortly. After the girl identified the two accused, the police arrested them.
An FIR has been registered under the POCSO Act and the police are questioning the two in custody.
The police said the victim and her mother are also from Assam. Perumbavoor is home to a large number of migrant labourers, some of whom are living with their families.
