Nun sex assault case: Probe team face threat

Thiruvananthapuram: The probe team which investigated the sexual abuse allegations against Jalandhar Bishop had to face threats.

There was an attempt to attack Vaikom DySP at Thanneermukkom. A truck chased the DySP's vehicle but he escaped miraculously.

There are a high pressure from the ruling party to avoid the arrest. It is also suspected that the reports of the probe team were handed over to the Bishop by top officials.

The investigating officers have reportedly been promised crores to sabotage the case.

However, the probe team stands firm and demands the arrest. They have collected sufficient evidence and plans to visit Jalandhar to make the arrest.

According to the police, the nun's statement about the Bishop's nunnery has also become vital in the case.
