UAE assists over 30,000 stranded passengers, issues 15,327 entry visas

The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP) said it has provided services to passengers stranded at UAE airports following the temporary suspension of flights linked to regional developments.
In a statement issued on March 3, the authority said its teams and systems remain fully prepared to handle emergencies. It said the response is part of a coordinated national framework involving relevant authorities to maintain safety and ensure continuity of essential services.
ICP said it completed travel procedures, including visa issuance and clearance, for 30,913 travellers at Zayed International Airport, Dubai Airports, Sharjah International Airport, Ras Al Khaimah International Airport and Fujairah International Airport. The authority said passengers received hospitality support, along with transportation and accommodation arrangements in coordination with airport operators and other entities.
The authority also issued entry visas to 15,327 travellers at the same airports, allowing them to remain in the country until flight operations stabilise.
ICP said operational plans and risk management procedures were activated in line with approved standards. Coordination with strategic partners continues to ensure readiness once full air traffic resumes.
It added that its business continuity plan for emergencies was implemented from the outset, including facilitating the entry of citizens and residents and providing support to stranded passengers.
The authority urged travellers and the public to rely on official sources for updates, stating that the UAE’s infrastructure and operational systems are equipped to respond to changing circumstances.
