text_fieldsThiruvananthapuram: In the light of widespread complaints about late running of trains in the state and the inconvenience caused by it to the commuting public, the Kerala State Human Rights Commission (SHRC) has asked the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Thiruvananthapuram, to appear before it on October 4 and give explanation for the unscientific timing of trains that is causing hardships to daily passengers.
SHRC Member K. Mohan Kumar, acting on a complaint filed by D. Sajeev of Munro Thuruthu, has also asked the General Manager, Southern Railway, Chennai, to submit a report to the commission on the late running of the trains.
The Commission asked the Divisional Railway Manager to appear before the commission at its sitting in Kollam on October 4.
