Actor Captain Raju passes away
text_fieldsKochi: Noted Malayalam actor Captain Raju passed away on Monday at his residence. He was 68.
The actor was under treatment for a long time.
A veteran of nearly 500 films, he had acted in several languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada. He is best remembered for his performances in Nadodokkattu, Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha and CID Moosa.
Raktham which released in 1981 was his first movie. He has enact hero, villain and character roles. Avanazhi, August 1, Pazhassi Raja, Mumbai Police were some of his popular movies. Raju had also directed two movies namely Itha Oru Sneha Gadha and Mister Pavanayi 99.99.
Masterpiece which released in 2017 was his last movie.
A native of Omalloor in Pathanamthitta, Raju forayed into the movie world after completing his military service.
Raju had suffered a stroke during a plane journey in June and was admitted to a hospital in Muscat, Oman.
