Kozhikode: CPI(M) politburo member Pinarayi Vijayan Saturday said the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) should be used in the right way.
“The UAPA, a law which is enacted against the terrorist activites, should be used in the right way. The CPI(M) is opposing the act’s misuse,” said Pinarayi.
“A case under the UAPA was registered against P.Jayarajan in order to appease the RSS,” he said.
On Thursday, CPI(M) district secretary P.Jayarajan was arraigned by the CBI as the 25th accused in the case and charged with offences including under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
