‘Former DGP intervened on behalf of DGP to shield Nizam’

Thiruvananthapuram: Government Chief Whip P C George has said in a letter to Chief Minister Oommen Chandy that former DGP M.N Krishnamoorthy had intervened on behalf of state DGP Balasubramaniam to sabotage the probe into the Chandrabose murder case.

George today handed over to the Chief Minister the copy of a compact disc that contained telephone conversation between former DGP M.N Krishnamoorthy and former Thrissur commissioner of police Jacob Job.

Krishnamoorthy, in the 40-minutes conversation, is reported to have sought a relaxation in slapping KAPA act on Nizam.

Soon after the letter was leaked to the media, Krishnamoorthy, however, denied the charges against him saying it was baseless.
