Won’t bow down to political blackmailing: Jose K Mani

Thiruvananthapuram: Reacting strongly to the allegations of sexual abuse raised against him in a letter that surfaced yesterday, Jose K Mani Tuesday said neither he nor his party was going to be bowed down by the political blackmailing.

“People who are playing dirty politics for their personal gains are the ones behind this outrageous act. I won’t bow down to this sort of political blackmailing,” he said.

Meanwhile, Jose K Mani's wife Nisha Jose Tuesday came out in support of her husband, saying no sane person would believe any allegations against him.

"My husband has earned the support & respect of his family & anybody who interacts with him because his cultured upbringing & spotless reputation. No sane person would Beleive any allegation against him- whatever be the context," she said in a Facebook post.

“It's shameful that some people choose fruit bearing trees to cover up for their shady behaviour. Whoever is responsible for this outrageous act of insanity, just remember you have chosen the wrong person,” she said.
