RSS leader's murder: Cases registered against eight people
text_fieldsKannur: The Thalassery police Tuesday registered cases against eight persons in connection with the murder of an RSS district leader at Kathiroor in Kannur.
According to source, Vikram from Kathiroor has been named as the main accused in the murder case.
Meanwhile, Home Minister Rajnath Singh has sought report from the State Home department on the incident.
E Manoj, who was the Saririk Sikshak Pramukh of the RSS, was first waylaid, had a bomb hurled at him and was finally stabbed to death in Kathirur, allegedly by a group of assailants. Another party sympathiser was also seriously injured in the attack.
RSS-BJP leaders alleged that the CPI (M) was behind the killing and gave a call for a dawn-to-dusk hartal in the state for today.
BJP President Amit Shah, who was in the state on Monday, condemned the killing at a convention of party workers.
