Kochi: The High Court Friday directed the state government to file separate appeals in all the Plus Two cases.

The government had yesterday filed two appeals challenging the single judge's interim order stating that the main relief itself had been granted without issuing notices and hearing the parties.

When the appeals came up today before a division bench comprising Justice Antony Dominique and Justice Sheshadri Naidu, they asked the government to file separate appeals in the 80 odd plus two cases filed by different petitioners.

The bench said it will be appropriate to file separate appeals in all cases or to give copy of appeals to all parties and adjourned the matter to August 26.

A single judge had on Aug 18 issued an interim order directing that that only schools recommended by six-member expert committee, which had received approval of Higher secondary education director, can be given sanction to start plus two courses and additional batches this year.

The court had also made it clear that those schools which do not meet the requirements under clause 8(vii) of the government order dated July 31, shall not be permitted to function.
