Joint Oman-Qatar visas for citizens from 33 countries

Muscat: Qatar and Oman have signed a joint visa accord which will help to attract more tourists into the two Arab countries. Citizens of 33 countries have been offered the visas to visit Qatar and Oman. India has not been included in the list of 33. Those who get the visa from one country can travel between the two countries without paying any extra charge.

If the visa holder exits from any of the two countries, the visa will become invalid. Visa which is initially given for 30 days can be extended by another 30 days.

Both the countries hope that the move can lure more tourists and will boost the tourism sector.

The countries whose citizens can get joint visa are United States (US), Britain, France, Italy, Germany, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Austria, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Portugal, Ireland, Greece , Finland, Spain, Monaco, the Vatican, Iceland, Andorra, San Marino, Lichtenstein, Brunei, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and South Korea.
