Speaking at the inauguration of new academic and administrative blocks at Dorjee Khandu Government College in Tawang, Khandu said the infrastructure upgrade marks a significant step in nurturing future leaders from the region. He praised the college’s rapid progress since its 2016 inception, noting its consistent academic excellence with over 95 per cent pass rates and full results in the last two years.
Khandu commended Principal Dr Yeshi Gyetsen for steering the institution’s growth and urged students to uphold its disciplined ethos. “Discipline is the foundation of success,” he said, encouraging students to carry this value into their careers.
Responding to a memorandum from the college, the Chief Minister confirmed that recruitment of additional faculty and staff is underway. He instructed the Tawang Deputy Commissioner to assist with furniture procurement, boundary demarcation, and land certification, assuring funding for a boundary wall.
