Lifestyle influencer pushed off building to death, husband arrested

New Delhi: A woman was killed in Agra after her husband had allegedly thrown her off a building having her hands and legs tied up.
Police arrested Aakash Gautam and two others after 30-year-old Ritika Singh died.
Aakash Gautam was angry over his wife Ritika Singh staying at an apartment with a friend.
The argument broke out between the husband and the wife ended up in the fatal incident, according to The Indian Express.
Police officer Sudhir Kumar Singh, SSP said that Ritika's husband came with his family members to the apartment where Ritika was staying.
Ritika, a BSc graduate with interest in social media and blogging, had been living at the apartment for the past one and half years, according to the report.
She had 44,000 followers on Instagram after she started travel and lifestyle blogging two years before.
Aakash Gautam and Ritika Singh met in 2014 and soon the couple got married.
Ritika Singh's family said that Gautam lived off her earnings as he had no regular income.
She was physically abused including getting her once burned with a hot iron, they alleged.
Her brother Utkarsh alleged that Aakash's family was abusive and beat her up.
Ritika moved to Firozabad to live with her friend whom she met on Facebook.
Aakash's family was pressuring her to return, according to the report.
On Friday last, Aakash and four others including two women reached Ritika's apartment.
There was an argument between the woman's friend and Aakash.
After tying and locking her friend in the bathroom, Aakash turned to Ritika tying her up and threw her off the balcony.
Her friend screamed to alert the neighbors from the bathroom window, said police.
Police are hot on the heels of the two absconding persons.
