Chennai: The third national general council of the Fraternity Movement was held on the 11th and 12th of March in Fathima Latheef Nagar, Chennai. The council was inaugurated by the former national president Dr Ansar Aboobakkar and was presided over by general secretary Abu Jafar Molla.

The performance report of the previous term was presented and discussed by the council. The council also held discussions on the concept of social justice and the challenges and strategies to implement on the way forward.

The new leadership for the term 2023- 25 was elected on the 12th of March. Asim Khan from Rajasthan was elected the third national president of the movement. Lubaib Basheer from Delhi, Firdous Bharbuya from Assam, and Najda Raihan from Kerala are the new General secretaries. Afreen Fathima from UP, Nujaim PK from Kerala, and Umar Farook Kadiri from Telangana are the newly elected vice presidents of the movement.

Akhilesh Kumar from Bihar, Sandra MJ from EFLU, Ayisha Renna from Kerala, Nasir Sheikh from WB, and Alfouz from Delhi are elected secretaries.
