Brother attacked: Cow vigilante warns Haryana Police

Faridabad: In Haryana's Faridabad, the brother of a cow vigilante was set on fire on Wednesday night, and the victim received severe burns, reports NDTV, citing police information.

Now, the vigilante Bittu Bajrangi has issued a warning that if the police do not arrest those involved in the attack on his brother soon, he will deal with the matter on his own. Bittu Bajrangi, a member of the right-wing extremist group Bajrang Dal, was arrested in a case of communal violence that happened in Nuh, Gurtugram, in August.

Bajrangi's younger brother, Mahesh Panchal, was allegedly attacked by four or five men. The gang sprayed him with petrol and set him on fire. Severy injured Panchal is under treatment in a private hospital.

Bittu Bajrangi is accused in the case of inciting communal tension ahead of a march organised by Vishwa Hindu Parishad in Haryana's Nuh. He is accused of putting up inflammatory videos on the internet. He was present at the procession and was arrested on August 4. At present, he is on bail.

The communal conflict ran for 18 hours in Gurugram, had claimed five lives and injured at least 70 people. The clashes spread from Nuh to Gurugram and reached Badshahpur, 40 km away very fast.

Amid the violent incidents, a mosque was set on fire after midnight, while a hundred-plus vehicles were torched as a mob went on a rampage, reports NDTV.

Out of the five dead, there were two security personnel, two civilians and the cleric of the mosque.
