Mumbai: Bollywood actor Vijay Varma candidly discussed his experience collaborating with Kareena Kapoor Khan for the crime thriller 'Jaane Jaan'.
The movie, an adaptation of Japanese author Higashino Keigo's renowned novel 'The Devotion of Suspect X', marks Kareena's debut in the realm of OTT entertainment. The film, directed by Sujoy Ghosh, also features the talented Jaideep Ahlawat.
The unveiling of the first look of 'Jaane Jaan' occurred recently, presenting the intriguing ensemble cast of Kareena Kapoor Khan, Vijay Varma, and Jaideep Ahlawat. Adapted for Netflix India, the film has ignited curiosity among fans.
Addressing the interaction between Vijay Varma and Kareena Kapoor Khan, the actor humorously commented, "I'm glad Saif was around because Kareena wouldn't have known who we are. Like, 'who are these two boys?' (laughs)". It was a lighthearted jest from Vijay. He went on to clarify this emphasising his admiration for both Kareena and her husband Saif Ali Khan.
Expressing his sincere sentiments, Vijay stated, "No, I love her and that's why I'm taking this liberty of joking about this. I absolutely love and adore her and Saif both. They are both brilliant, beautiful people."
Reflecting on Kareena's previous statement about working alongside Vijay and Jaideep, he shared his honour of being a part of her transformative experience. "All three of us have a very interesting equation in the story. And I don't know how to say this without spoiling it. Me and Jaideep have an equation in the story that is kind of similar to the equation that he and I have in life," Vijay elaborated.
Praising Kareena's professionalism, Vijay said, "I just saw her (Kareena) to be one of the easiest to work with, and sincere actors around. I was just watching her and personally learning from her because she really knows how to light up the frame. Like she knows when she is doing something and there's a change of energy and it’s so palpable. Personally, I feel very honoured that she feels like this."
The crime thriller 'Jaane Jaan' is slated for release on September 21st on the streaming platform Netflix. As anticipation builds around this intriguing adaptation, fans are eagerly waiting for the on-screen synergy between the talented trio of Kareena Kapoor Khan, Vijay Varma, and Jaideep Ahlawat.
