Nayanthara returns to Malayalam, joins Mohanlal and Mammootty in MMMN
text_fieldsMalayalam cinema fans have an exciting reason to celebrate. Nayanthara is making her much-anticipated comeback after a two-year hiatus.
The actress will be seen alongside Mohanlal and Mammootty in the upcoming film directed by Mahesh Narayanan, tentatively titled MMMN. This marks her return to Malayalam films after her last appearance in Gold (2022).
On February 9, production house Anto Joseph Film Company shared a behind-the-scenes video of Nayanthara’s arrival on the sets of MMMN. The clip captures her warm interactions with Mammootty, director Mahesh Narayanan, and the crew, adding to the excitement surrounding the project.
Mohanlal and Mammootty, two of Malayalam cinema’s biggest icons, have previously worked together on several classic films, including Avidathepole Ivideyum, Adiyozhukkukal, Mazha Peyyunnu Maddalam Kottunnu, Adhwaytham, and No. 20 Madras Mail.
Meanwhile, Mohanlal and Nayanthara have shared the screen in films like Natturajavu and Vismayathumbathu.
Nayanthara has also worked with Mammootty in films such as Rapakal, Thaskara Veeran, Bhaskar the Rascal, and Puthiya Niyamam.
The ensemble cast of MMMN features some of the biggest names in the industry, including Fahadh Faasil, Kunchacko Boban, Renji Panicker, Rajiv Menon, Danish Husain, Shaheen Siddique, Sanal Aman, Revathi, Darshana Rajendran, and Zarin Shihab.
The film is set to be a massive production, spanning 150 days of shooting across multiple locations worldwide, including Sri Lanka, London, Abu Dhabi, Azerbaijan, Thailand, Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad, Delhi, and Kochi.
Beyond MMMN, Nayanthara has a packed schedule with upcoming films such as Test, Mannangatti Since 1960, Dear Students, and Rakkayie. She was last seen in the Netflix documentary Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale.
Mammootty, who recently played a private detective in Dominic and the Ladies' Purse, is gearing up for films like Bazooka and Megastar 428.
Mohanlal, last seen in the 2024 fantasy drama Barroz, is set to appear in films including Thudarum, L2: Empuraan, Kannappa, and Hridayapoorvam.
