British Prime Minister Liz Truss is well on the path, keeping her promise to Tory leadership campaign, to shift British embassy to Jerusalem.

Liz is trying to make a policy shift even at the expense of a high value free trade deal with the Gulf Cooperation Council, reports say.

Meanwhile, Arab ambassadors in London urged Truss not to go ahead with what they said "illegal and ill-judged" plan, according to The Guardian.

Arab diplomats reportedly said Liza Truss's plan to shift embassy could " jeopardise" the aforesaid trade between UK and Arab countries.

While telling UK that its move is unwise, EU allies believe that Truss was doing it not just because of her ties with Israel but to show off as a disruptive force.

It was expected that a predictable group of pro-Palestinian countries represented in London would object to the proposed embassy move, The Guardian reported.

Meanwhile, a letter against this move sent by diplomats has the support of all Arab countries including those signed the Abraham accords which is aimed at creating ties with Israel for its signatories including Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates.

However, Britain's move to shift embassy appeared to be disturbing some of the Arab states favouring Abraham accords. They fear that accords will be damaged by UK's unwise steps.

Meanwhile, a former British diplomat described Truss as aping Donald Trump and added that the US is big enough to get its way in the Middle East but the UK is not.

Shifting embassy will have "a domino effect" amongst some countries in the European Union, such as Hungary, while damaging British interest in the Arab world, the diplomat reportedly said.
