Ferran Torres will join Barcelona
text_fieldsBarcelona confirmed Tuesday that Manchester City forward Ferran Torres has signed a permanent deal with the club. The financial details of the deal were not disclosed by Barcelona.
A release clause of 1 billion euros will be spelled out in Torres' contract until June 2027, according to Barca.
"Hello Culers, I am very happy to announce that today I will join the club. See you soon," Torres said in a video.
During his time with City, Torres played 43 games and scored 16 goals, making him the club's leading goalscorer last season. He joined City from Valencia in August.
Barcelona welcomed the 21-year-old forward for a medical on Monday.
The 35-year-old Torres has been sidelined since October with a fractured metatarsal suffered in international duty. Torres posted a video on social media on Sunday of him training on his own on a pitch in Valencia. Earlier on Monday, he was seen arriving at a hospital in Barcelona to undergo a medical at his new club.
