Kerala State Film Awards ceremony

Kerala State Film Awards were held at the Thalassery Municipal Stadium Sunday evening.

It was for the first time the historic town hosted the award ceremony. Veteran film director Adoor Gopalakrishnan received the J C Daniel award, the highest honor, from Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, whereas the best lyricist award was dedicated to ONV Kurup posthumously. Veterans in the film industry were also felicitated at the function.
