Migrant workers sprayed with disinfectant in UP

Bareilly: Health workers in UP faced public ire on Monday after they sprayed disinfectants on migrant workers at Bareilly bus stand.

Health workers in protective suits asked workers who had walked down from Noida and Delhi to sit down, before they started spraying the chemical.

About 50 of the migrant were waiting for food and the bus when were assaulted with disinfectants.

Children began wailing and women remained shocked.

Earlier officials told them that food and bus would be arranged to them, and were waiting for both. 

The chemical sprayed on them included diluted mix of sodium hypochlorite, a main ingredient in laundry bleach.

Children complaint of itching and women developed rashes from the disinfectant.
